Starting today, Samsung will officially push an update to International versions of the Galaxy S4 that will move the device to Android 4.3. Along with this update is Galaxy Gear support which means that you can now go out and purchase yourself the smart watch and pair it up with your device without any limitations.
If you are an owner of a U.S version of the Samsung Galaxy S4, the update should be right around the corner after it passes through carriers for approval. This process however can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months to happen, but at least we all can assume that it is on the way.
The update also includes these following features and improvements:
- OpenGL 3.0 support
- TRIM Support
- KNOX improvements
- Improved RAM management
- Improved display color reproduction
- New Samsung Browser
- ANT+ Support
- Samsung Wallet support
- Improved Samsung Keyboard
- New Reading Mode
- Camera software improvements
This isn’t a complete list of improvements, but once we get our hands on the actual change log this list will be updated.
If you are an S4 owner, will you be purchasing Galaxy Gear after you receive the update?
