There is currently an update for iOS devices rolling out. If you haven’t received the update yet and own an iPhone 4 or later, iPad 2 or later, or iTouch (5th gen) you should be getting the update soon! A full list of additions and changes can be seen below:

  • Adds iCloud Keychain to keep track of your account names, passwords, and credit card numbers across all approved devices
  • Addition of a Password generator so Safari can suggest unique, hard-to-guess passwords for online accounts
  • Updates lock screen to delay “slide to unlock” when Touch ID is in use
  • Adds back the ability to search the web and Wikipedia from Spotlight search
  • Fixes issues where iMessage failed to send for some users
  • Improves system stability when using iWord apps
  • Fixes an accelerometor calibration issue (mostly common in iPhone 5s)
  • Addresses and issue that could cause Siri and VoiceOver to use a lower quality voice
  • Fixes a bug that could allow someone to bypass the lock screen passcode
  • Enhances the Reduce Motion setting to minimize both motion and animation
  • Fixes and issue that could cause VoiceOver input to be too sensitive
  • Updates the Bold Text setting to also change dial pad text
  • Fixes an issue that could cause supervised devices to become un-supervised when updating software

Looks like Apple has found the problem with the issues of the bad accelerometer measurements reported to affect the iPhone 5s. We have yet to test this, but once we do we will either confirm or deny this speculation. The update seems to be fixing just a few bugs found in the new iOS 7. Other than the inclusion of iCloud Keychain, you can expect everything to look and work the same.
